Job description

We are seeking a skilled Onshape 3D Modeling Technician to join our team. If you are passionate about creating precise, high-quality 3D models and enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop 3D models using Onshape software based on project requirements.
2. Special knowledge for ONSHAPE configurations and constraints are required.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers.
4. Convert concepts, sketches, and technical drawings into fully detailed 450 LOD 3D models.
5. Ensure models meet quality standards, technical specifications, and project deadlines.
6. Workside by side with the library development team and providing 3D models.
7. Create rules and controlling methods for the data management part of ONSHAPE.
8. Optimize designs for manufacturability, including creating assemblies, simulations, and BOMs.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve design challenges effectively.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in Onshape 3D modeling software.
2. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD modeling.
3. Strong understanding of BOMs.
4. Experience in creating detailed assemblies, parts, and technical drawings.
5. Ability to interpret and execute project briefs, sketches, and technical requirements.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
8. Onshape software knowledge and experience is a must; all resumes without Onshape will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in [specific industry, e.g., consumer products, automotive].
2. Knowledge of additional CAD tools or software is a plus.
3. Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
4. Any certification is a plus.
