Job description

Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced SAP S / 4HANA Group Reporting CFIN Analyst to join their project starting immediately on a 10-month contract with high potential for extension. This role will support the client's upgrade infrastructure from an older S / 4HANA version to a more up-to-date version. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the S / 4HANA Upgrade process, specifically from version 1809 to 2023. The position will be primarily remote, with travel expected to client sites during key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Analyze the delta between S / 4HANA 1809 and 2023 (5 versions) for Group Reporting (GR) modules.
2. CFIN experience is a MUST.
3. Identify impacted functionalities (e.g., data models, consolidation steps, reporting templates).
4. Advise on backward compatibility issues, deprecated features, and new capabilities (e.g., Central Finance integration, parallel accounting enhancements).
5. Hands-On Configuration & Testing.
6. Validate data migration for GR-specific artifacts (e.g., ownership structures, intercompany eliminations).
7. Data Migration & Validation.
8. Ensure seamless transition of consolidation data (e.g., opening balances, carryforward rules).
9. Address custom code adaptations (e.g., CDS views, BAdIs) impacted by the upgrade.
10. Stakeholder Collaboration.
11. Train end-users on 2023 features (e.g., enhanced analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud integration).
12. Project Phases & Travel.
13. Remote work for most tasks, with on-site presence during:
14. Cutover & Go-Live (resolve critical issues).
