Why This Role is Open:
We are seeking a talented and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology to drive design excellence and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities:
- BIM Management:
- Manage and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure BIM standards and best practices are followed.
- Conduct regular model reviews and quality control checks.
- Model Creation and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed BIM models.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to ensure model integration.
- Resolve clashes and conflicts within the BIM model.
- Data Extraction and Reporting:
- Extract data from BIM models for various purposes, such as quantity takeoffs, clash detection, and construction documentation.
- Generate reports on model performance and project progress.
- Workflow Development and Improvement:
- Collaborate with the BIM team to develop and implement efficient BIM workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve BIM processes and standards.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in BIM coordination or modeling.
- Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software (e.g., Navisworks, Dynamo).
- Strong understanding of building information modeling principles and workflows.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with BIM authoring tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Dynamo).
- Experience with BIM standards and protocols (e.g., BIM Level 2, BIM Level 3).
- Understanding of construction documents and specifications.
