Job Description

The Kinistin Bison Ranch is seeking to hire a Bison Manager responsible for the management and maintenance of the bison herd, corrals, and pasture. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the herd, including health, movement, and culling. The Bison Manager will collaborate with KSN staff and partners to promote KSN traditions and cultural identity. The ideal candidate is outdoors-oriented, capable of working independently or in a team.

The position requires flexibility to handle various tasks, from herd management to researching and implementing strategies for herd needs.

Responsibilities
  1. Managing and overseeing the care and welfare of the bison herd
  2. Operating a bison feeding program, managing seeding and hay baling
  3. Operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery
  4. Building, repairing, and maintaining fences, storage buildings, and property
  5. Demonstrating organizational and management skills
  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor
