YNCU is a large community cooperative credit union, invested in its local communities and partnerships which creates a unique philosophy and intention toward financial service and Wealth Management.

We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full time Associate Investment Advisor to join our successful, innovative and growing Private Wealth Practice.

The Role

The Associate Investment Advisor will assist with growing the practice through strong personal client outreach, creating and fostering strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners, excellent utilization of CRM tools, and strong collaboration with the Principal Advisor to develop and implement investment strategies.

The Associate Advisor will support the Principal Advisor by preparing for client meetings and executing recommendations to financial plans.

This position requires a high level of professionalism, strong business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. A background in Wealth Management is preferred.

The Associate Investment Advisor will grow within the position and have strong ambitions to expand their career within the practice while building a credible foundation within the team and our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and provided detailed financial strategies for clients including but not limited to retirement, education, asset allocation, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a diverse and supportive financial partnership with individuals and families where financial well-being is a priority.
  • Build and grow a portfolio of clients by passionately pursuing and establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including COI’s.
  • Generate reports and administer ongoing reporting for the Principal Advisor.
  • Committed to supporting the Principal Advisor.

What we are looking for:

  • IR-licensed or RR-licensed
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates who have the CFP designation or are actively working towards obtaining it.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and analyze financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and partners.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment management principles and strategies.
