About the role

We’re thrilled to continue to build an innovative PFA (Pulsed-Field Ablation) product, and we’re looking for a dynamic Senior Software Manager to bring it to life! If you have expertise in Medical Device / Medical Technology (or other regulated industry) software product development and have a passion for creating cutting-edge technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Your responsibilities will include :

• Manage a talented team of engineers working on software and firmware development for PFA technology.
• Lead Software / Firmware teams in the achievement of organizational and functional goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports.
• Collaborate with senior technical leaders, project management, and inter-disciplinary partners.
• Develop detailed work plans, objectives, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitor and troubleshoot performance and schedule issues.
• Oversee development processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Build strategic partnerships and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to further departmental and organizational objectives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, clinical, regulatory, etc.) to ensure alignment, resolve challenges, and meet milestones.
• Work across multiple design / product workstreams to resolve complex problems with robust technical solutions.
• Lead by example and motivate and inspire other technical team members in the program.
• Create a strong team culture around high expectations and high performance.
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates.

Required qualifications :

• BS degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant degree.
• Experience in software / firmware development (C / C++, embedded systems, RTOS) and understanding of hardware / software integration.
• 7+ years of work experience in software or hardware engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in leading Software / Firmware teams.
• Experience in medical device or other highly regulated industry (i.e., aerospace, defense, etc.).
• Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration, influence without authority, and project / task management enabling highly effective teams.
• Experience with managing budgets and deadlines.
• Passion for understanding the end-user environment with a fluency in design validation and usability.
• Strong personal credibility and excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications :

• Experience developing medical devices from early stage through full product launch and sustaining.
• SCRUM Master.
• Experience in electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, structural heart or comparable intracardiac technology.
• Fluency in the IEC 60601 standards.

Maximum Salary : $218300

The anticipated compensation listed above will vary based on actual location and other pertinent factors. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
