Job description

Trans Tank Systems is an assembly and service facility specializing in tanker trucks for the petroleum, water and aviation markets. We are currently seeking a shop cleaner / general labourer.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Self-motivated and confident in their abilities.
• Candidates will need to be able to work individually, in a team and with minimal supervision at times.
• The ability to lift 50+ pounds is required.
• Working at heights will be required (training will be provided).
• A valid G class driver's license is a requirement.
• Candidate must be a minimum of 25 years old to meet company insurance coverage.
• The opportunity for overtime and working weekends will also be provided.
• Trans Tank offers competitive wages and a benefits package after a 3-month probation period including RRSP matching.
• Regular weekday hours are 7 : 30-4 : 30 Monday to Thursday and 7 : 30-4 : 00 on Fridays.

Responsibilities :

• Keeping the shop clean including, sweeping floors, emptying garbage cans, breaking down cardboard boxes, wrapping up extension cords and air lines, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning office spaces, washing windows.
• Helping technicians when required with heavy lifting, installing certain components which require a helping hand.
• Spotting for people confined spaces (working at heights and confined space training will be provided).
• Yard maintenance such as keeping walkways & doorways clear of snow and obstructions, grass cutting, general clean-up of parts and used components in yard.
• Driving to either pick-up or deliver parts in Trenton / Belleville and the surrounding area using a company vehicle.
