Job description

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

In collaboration with the General Manager and the President, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s activities. You will also be expected to develop and implement improvements aimed at increasing the organization’s market share and overall performance.

You will oversee the Parts, Technical Support, and Logistics departments by engaging employees and highlighting their knowledge and expertise:

  1. Performance evaluation
  2. Training management
  3. Labor relations management

You will play a key role as the primary point of contact between our organization and our Chinese partner, where you will be expected to resolve sometimes complex situations at any time of day.

You will contribute to the organization’s growth and operational strategy in collaboration with the executive team. You will establish and maintain industry best practices to help achieve the company’s objectives, focusing on continuous improvement of operations and processes.

You will help ensure full customer satisfaction by working closely with the Business Development department.

Qualifications:
  • University degree in administration, engineering, or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the distribution and forklift industry
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, to manage a team across multiple provinces
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, staff management skills, and technical knowledge
  • Strong proficiency with computer tools, Microsoft Office suite, and ERP systems
