Job description

Job Title: Sales Supervisor - Retail

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks

  1. Assign sales workers to duties
  2. Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  3. Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions
  4. Authorize return of merchandise
  5. Establish work schedules
  6. Sell merchandise
  7. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
  8. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  9. Organize and maintain inventory
  10. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  11. Manage cash

Supervision of:

  1. 1 to 2 people
  2. 3-4 people
  3. 5-10 people

  2. Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers

Support for Visible Minorities

  1. Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
