The Project Manager is responsible for the execution and complete management of construction projects. They collaborate and negotiate with various partners : subcontractors, superintendents, estimators, professionals (architects and engineers), and the client.

The positions to be filled are for major projects in the Saguenay region in Quebec.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and monitor calls for tenders for subcontracting packages.
  • Negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors.
  • Prepare the project schedule with the superintendent.
  • Update the schedule throughout the project.
  • Develop the H&S prevention program and ensure follow-up on site.
  • Prepare and monitor technical questions related to plans and specifications.
  • Manage payment requests to the client and from subcontractors.
  • Manage and review shop drawings and samples.
  • Manage conflict detection follow-up when the project is carried out in BIM (3D modeling).
  • Organize site meetings with subcontractors and the client.
  • Manage client changes and subcontractor change requests.
  • Monitor and manage deficiencies at the end of the project.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligible for a security clearance.
  • Computer skills : MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in French and English (an asset).
