Civil Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Civil Engineer in the Civil engineering industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. Our client is seeking a Design Engineer to join their Civil Engineering Division to work out of their Toronto office. Our client has experienced substantial growth and continues to expand, driven by their commitment to client satisfaction.

A typical day:

1. Develop and implement engineering design and analysis including storm and sanitary design, water distribution system design, and storm water management modeling.
2. Complete design calculations based on engineering principles, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards, and convey design information to CAD staff for drafting completion.
3. Technical report preparation.
4. Executes under direct supervision of senior engineers and continues development of career by working on various technical assignments.
5. Project coordination with internal and external team including architects, other engineers, clients, and review agencies; and other related duties, as assigned.

Successful candidates will have:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineer’s designation (P.Eng.).
2. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
3. Strong Civil design software skills and working knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software with relevant project examples.
4. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
5. Excellent technical report writing skills.
