School District No. 52 in Prince Rupert is seeking a full-time teacher for Grade K/1 starting September 1, 2025. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Education and have experience in elementary teaching, with a commitment to integrating Aboriginal culture into their teaching practices.
School District No. 52 (Prince Rupert) is located within traditional Ts’msyen Territory on the beautiful north coast of B.C., serving the small communities of Hartley Bay and Port Edward, in addition to the City of Prince Rupert. Our district includes one secondary school, one middle school, five elementary schools, one store-front site, and one "on reserve" school (Hartley Bay, K-12). We have approximately 2,000 students, 62% of whom are Aboriginal.
Our community offers excellent recreational facilities, including an ice arena, swimming pool, gymnasium, 18-hole golf course, racquet centre, tennis courts, museum, and a 700-seat performing arts centre.

We are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) teacher, effective September 1, 2025, with an initial assignment to Grade K/1.
