Job Summary:


Petrochem is currently seeking a Branch Safety Manager I for our Vancouver, WA branch office. This position reports to the HSE Vice President and supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting behaviors such as excellence, collaboration, innovation, respect, community commitment, accountability, and ownership. The role supports HSE efforts in Vancouver, WA, White City, OR, and jobsites across the Pacific Northwest.


PAY RATE: $80,000


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership in driving Petrochem Safety Culture.
  2. Ensure all employees follow HSE policies and procedures.
  3. Provide leadership and direction, holding management accountable for safety.
  4. Communicate safety concerns to management and maintain strong relationships with branch teams.
  5. Follow and understand all Health & Safety/Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) procedures as outlined in company policies.
  6. Maintain a personal injury (incident) rate at or below company standards.
  7. Review incidents and corrective actions for completion and closure; monitor preventative actions from HSE alerts.
  8. Collect and maintain HSE data/metrics; generate weekly/monthly reports.
  9. Assist HSE with manual updates and distribution.
  10. Update and maintain OSHA logs.
  11. Update intranet with alerts, safety topics, policies, and forms.
  12. Counsel and advise branch as a subject matter expert for Safety Operations.
  13. Manage Good Catch/Good Save program for compliance.
  14. Manage branch behavioral safety programs for compliance.
  15. Develop and maintain relationships with client safety representatives.
  16. Utilize software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vista.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  2. Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or equivalent.

Licenses & Certifications:

  1. Must have OSHA 30-hour certification.
  2. OSHA 500-hour certification preferred.

Travel:

  • Travel to jobsites within the Pacific Northwest as required by business needs.
