Why This Role is Open:

To support the growth of our civil engineering projects, we are seeking a talented and motivated Civil Designer to join their Calgary team.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and design 3D models of civil works for projects of moderate scope.
2. Collaborate closely with the Design Area Lead to ensure high-quality and innovative designs.
3. Contribute to the success of client projects by delivering exceptional services and technical excellence.
4. Effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
5. Apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national regulations.
6. Demonstrate attention to detail and work efficiently within deadlines.
7. Possess a strong understanding of civil site grading, cut and fill, roadway design, and underground utilities.

Must Haves:

1. Accredited two-year degree or diploma in civil engineering drafting and technology or equivalent.
2. Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
3. 2+ years experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
4. 2+ years experience with Civil 3D modelling software (OpenRoads, Civil 3D).

Nice-to-Haves:

1. Experience working on a variety of civil engineering projects.
2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
