Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for performing all required duties to collect and prepare metal chip for vendor pick up, loading and unloading chip bin and OSP pallets, and maintaining work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Additionally, the Material Handler will be responsible for picking, packing, loading and unloading for OSP, assisting in receiving billets, transporting pallets between department and receiving and organizing returned testing remnants.



Position responsibilities include:



  • Collect and prepare metal chips for vendor pick up.

  • Load and unload chip bin and OSP pallets

  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Pick, pack, load and unload for OSP

  • Assist in receiving billets.

  • Transport pallets between departments

  • Receive and organize returned testing remnants.

  • Inventory management

Basic Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Basic computer literacy - operators should be comfortable using computers - the user interface, and/or kiosk.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects - 50 lbs.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Warehouse experience is a plus.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of identification procedures

  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures for assigned equipment and process.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Some basic knowledge on industrial tools, hand tools, power tools and so forth.

  • Ability to operate a forklift - operating controls (forward, backward, steer, and control the lift).

  • Experience in following safety protocols - for example, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, following speed limits, keeping a safe distance from pedestrians, and so forth. At least some basic knowledge on PPE.

Hourly pay rate: $20 to $22 per hour.


2nd Shift schedule: M-F 2pm-10:30pm
