Ottawa Farm Fresh is a diversified vegetable farm, full-diet farm store, and agro-wellness destination located less than 12 minutes from Parliament Hill. We believe in mind-blowing quality and in the transformative power of food to improve our interaction with the environment, each other, and our bodies and minds.

Our goal is to impress our clients with the taste of our products, aiming for the best carrot they've ever tasted. Our mission is to reconnect people to their food, bodies, and the environment—one bite at a time!

To achieve this, we are building a team of top-notch farmers. As team members gain experience, they will take on greater responsibilities, with opportunities to purchase shares in the business after the third year.

As a Farm Crew member, you will engage in various tasks throughout the year, with opportunities to specialize in certain areas.

Tasks may include:

• Greenhouse seeding and watering
• Planting
• Weeding
• Pruning and trellising crops
• Irrigation
• Harvesting, washing, and packing vegetables
• Mowing, weed-wacking, and ground maintenance
• Fixing things and building projects
• Assisting in the farm store
• Working with Milo — The farm environment includes our 10-year-old son, Milo. Respect and dignity are expected, and Milo may be included in work activities, with shared responsibility for his safety.

  Please note: Applicants must have the legal right to work in Canada (work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship). The only exception is Mexican agronomists applying under CUSMA.

  Remuneration:

  • Starting wage: $17/hr (on the books)
  • Weekly CSA veggie basket valued at $51
  • Positions available:
  • Full Season: Mid-April to Late October
  • Summer Season: Early June to Late August
