Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Lines Claims Adjuster to join our team in Dartmouth, NS, Canada . The successful candidate will evaluate claims through loss investigation and negotiate settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships. We offer a hybrid work set-up for this position and regular travel to loss locations throughout the territory is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes experts’ reports
  • Selects and directs independent experts
  • Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities
  • Secures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgets
  • Detailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systems
  • Work with manager to maintain client relations
  • Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years functional and technical experience in an insurance environment
  • Post Secondary education in an insurance related field considered an asset
  • Full independent adjusting license or working towards CIP designation
  • Experience in road adjusting including the investigation and detailed reporting of both property and casualty claims
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis required
  • Computer and reporting skills including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bilingual in French would be considered an asset
  • Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Valid driver's license is required
