Description:
ATCO Frontec Ltd. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Site Superintendent for the Rankin Inlet, NU / Iqaluit, NU sites. This role involves supporting the existing Superintendent with site management at the Rankin Inlet and Iqaluit FOL sites. It is a rotational position requiring travel, with LOA, vehicle, airfare, hourly compensation including overtime, and an optional benefits package.

The Facilities Maintenance Site Superintendent manages the performance-based delivery of facilities maintenance services, including planning, scheduling, supervision, and daily project execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee delivery of hard, soft, and ancillary services, including:

• Hard Services: Building Envelope Maintenance, Door Systems, Electrical, Elevator and Lifting, Fire Detection and Suppression, Generators, Heating, HVACR, Life Safety, Plumbing, Security and Access, Kitchen Systems (ITMR).
• Soft Services: Cleaning, Environmental Services, Hazardous Waste, Pest Management, Landscaping, Snow and Ice Clearing, Waste Management.
• Ancillary Services: Service Management, Site Monitoring, Emergency Response, Job Tracking, Maintenance Planning, Drawing Management, Budgeting, Help Desk, Utilities Management.

Travel quarterly to Iqaluit, Inuvik, and Yellowknife for maintenance work.

Manage additional work projects, including minor construction.

Supervise and schedule on-site staff activities.

Direct maintenance and repair activities for facilities and equipment.

Develop and maintain project management processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Implement safety inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.

Track activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Manage subcontracts for services and supplies.

Provide leadership and direction to staff.

Champion occupational health and safety, quality, environmental, and risk programs.

Ensure timely project reporting and manage financial accountability.

Qualifications:

• Technical school certificate in Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Electrician, HVAC/(R), or OBM.
• Experience managing small construction projects.
• Knowledge of HS&E and QA/QC practices.
• Risk assessment and management skills.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Outlook and Office 365.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance to Secret Level.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience managing projects for government clients is an asset.
• Knowledge of CMMS is an asset.
