Job Description:

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Transfer samples from Incubation room to Micro lab for daily testing;
  • Preparation and sanitization of micro lab and samples;
  • Sorting, clearing and disposal of tested samples;
  • Assist in supplies and materials inventory and stock management;
  • Perform general preventative maintenance and cleaning on QC equipment and microlab;
  • Prepare, clean, sanitize and maintain supplies and work areas including incubation room, micro lab and samples storage;
  • Assist in sorting products in cases and laying samples in pallets as required;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and monitoring of lab instruments and equipment;
  • Ensure to report any safety issues to Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Team Leader as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience supporting QC Technicians in a laboratory environment is preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a Food Manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work periodically in a warm environment – Incubation/Hot Room
