Position Posting

Municipal Worker 2 – Parks - Seasonal

(1 Position Available)

Term of Employment:Full-Time, Seasonal (May 26, 2025 – October 24, 2025)Rate of Pay:Band 3: $27.41 - $30.11 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)Location:Parks & Green Spaces Team (Budmiller All Seasons Park, Parks General and Lloydminster Golf & Curling Centre)Duties:The Municipal Worker 2 performs a variety of parks and open-space maintenance, including all activities associated with turf, tree, flower and shrub bed maintenance, throughout the City of Lloydminster in a safe and efficient manner. Duties may also include the care of sports fields, playgrounds, and other city amenities. The Municipal Worker 2 will participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System. Other relevant duties may be assigned as required.Schedule:Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours, including weekend rotation. LGCC start time can very from 5:00am-7:00am depending on departmental needs.Qualifications:The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator’s License (registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan) with a clear driver’s abstract.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers, string trimmers, bobcats and tractors will be considered an asset.
  • The ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs)
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • This position is contingent on receiving a satisfactory criminal record check
