Purpose

Leads and oversees CB Project Portfolio Management and Governance, ensuring the successful execution of initiatives aligned with CB Business strategies and in compliance with the Bank’s policies.

Accountabilities
  1. Provide oversight, support, and monitoring for all aspects of CB Portfolio Management aligned with CB strategy, complying with the Strategic Investment Portfolio (SIP) Policy, Execution Standards, and Divisional PMO (DPMO) processes.
  2. Implement structures and processes for improved transparency and effective decision-making to enhance project portfolio performance.
  3. Develop portfolio insights and identify opportunities through systemic improvements using various tools.
  4. Contribute to CB Executive Forums and Committees by providing data insights, succinct conclusions, strategic recommendations, and creating impactful presentations for decision-making.
  5. Ensure compliance with DPMO KPIs and support executive reporting; represent the team in forums with EPMO, Enterprise Delivery Framework, and Control Functions.
  6. Lead large-scale change management initiatives across CB Business lines and project teams.
  7. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Enterprise PMO, Project Controls, Finance, Planning, Value Realization teams, and CB Business teams.
  8. Collaborate effectively with peers and functional teams to maintain a holistic view of CB Portfolio management.
  9. Identify and evaluate opportunities for increased efficiency through automation and work with stakeholders to implement changes.
  10. Create a high-performance environment by attracting, retaining, and developing talent, fostering an inclusive work environment, and practicing coaching behaviors.
  11. Align activities with the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in day-to-day decisions.

Education/Experience
  • University Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Certification in Project Management, Scrum, or Scaled Agile.
  • CPA or other accounting designation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Financial Sector or Banking industry, preferably in Finance or Project Management.
  • Knowledge of End-to-End Project Lifecycle and Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Bank’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Experience in stakeholder management within highly matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
