Radiation Oncologist

BC Cancer - Kelowna, BC

Regular, Full-time

We're seeking a passionate Radiation Oncologist to join our BC Cancer team in beautiful Kelowna, BC. Kelowna offers outdoor adventures, vibrant city life, and access to the stunning Okanagan lifestyle, including boating, skiing, wine tours, and more. The city boasts excellent restaurants, a growing tech industry, and proximity to the University of British Columbia Okanagan.

BC Cancer - Kelowna is a comprehensive cancer center serving thousands of patients annually, equipped with advanced facilities such as:

  1. 2 CT simulators
  2. 5 linear accelerators capable of VMAT, SABR, SRS, and adaptive radiotherapy
  3. A leading brachytherapy program

The department collaborates closely with medical physics, radiation therapy, dosimetry, nursing, and medical oncology teams. Our center supports cutting-edge research and strives for excellence in clinical care and academic development. We seek a candidate committed to delivering exceptional patient care, engaging in teaching, and contributing to research.

Applicants must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia and hold, or be eligible for, Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the RCPSC or an equivalent qualification by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will have a clinical appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Radiation Oncology, and privileges through the Provincial Health Services Authority and Interior Health at Kelowna General Hospital.

The role requires a commitment to Indigenous reconciliation and cultural safety, with knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical contexts affecting Indigenous communities.
