The IT Developer is responsible for developing reports to provide easy access data to Operations and Finance leaders in order to assist in the analysis of the business.

Reporting Relationships:

The IT Developer reports directly to the IT Manager, Noranco Canada.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Create complex SQL queries and stored procedures for new SSRS based reports.
2. Develop professional SSRS reports to support business needs using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Crystal Reports.
3. Create SSIS packages to extract and deliver data to end users.
4. Optimize existing SQL queries and SSRS reports.
5. Collaborate with Systems Administrator to enforce best practices for SQL environment.
6. Create and/or maintain data warehouse.
7. Maintain dashboards created by vendors and/or develop new dashboards based on VB and .NET technology.
8. Work with management team to gather business requirements and develop solutions.
9. Analyze and troubleshoot complex queries, views or stored procedures.
10. Convert Access queries and/or Crystal Reports to SSRS reports.
11. Able to take on development projects as business requires.
12. All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

1. Strong understanding of SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012 and 2014.
2. Strong background with T-SQL queries, functions, triggers, views and stored procedures.
3. Familiar with SSRS and SSIS deployment and management.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. .NET and VB development.
6. Experience with web development, specifically web-based dashboard development, is preferred.

Required Experience:

2+ years of SQL, SSIS, SSRS development.

Level of Education:

Post-Secondary Education in IT or related field.
