We specialize in all subject areas and cater to students from age four to twenty. We hire only the best - certified teachers, or those in the process of completing their degree in Education and pay much higher wages than the industry average.

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Primary/Junior Teacher with Direct Instruction (DI) training such as Reading Mastery or Corrective Reading to provide academic support to students. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using structured, research-based teaching methods to help students improve reading and other foundational skills. This role involves working with students across various grade levels, providing both remedial and enrichment support, and tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs based on the Ontario curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support to students based on expertise in the Ontario curriculum.
  • Utilize Direct Instruction (DI) methods, such as Reading Mastery and Corrective Reading, to support students with foundational reading skills and literacy.
  • Create and assign supplemental assignments to reinforce learning and increase understanding of the material.
  • Offer both remedial and enrichment support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on student progress and discuss any challenges or successes.

Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for an OCT-certified Primary/Junior teacher who meets the following criteria:

  • Registered with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) in good standing.
  • Experience in Direct Instruction (DI) methods, including Reading Mastery, Corrective Reading, or similar programs.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and patient with a passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of each student.

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) registration in good standing (Primary/Junior).
  • Experience with Direct Instruction (DI) programs such as Reading Mastery or Corrective Reading.
  • Experience teaching in a Primary or Junior level (Grades 1-6).
