Position Overview

Conducts and processes all clerical tasks related to the patient’s hospitalization within the unit/program area in collaboration with the patient care team members.

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Unit Clerk.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with Electronic Kidney Health Record and Electronic Patient Record is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12 or higher.
  • Completion of a recognized Unit Clerk course is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Excellent written and verbal command of the English language.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships within a team.
  • Effective organization and multitasking abilities.

Additional Information

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check. The candidate is responsible for any service charges incurred. Checks are considered current if obtained within six months prior to employment start date.

Note: Employees cannot hold multiple positions across the WRHA legal entity that total more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes various sites and programs.
