Job description

Our client, a top banking client in Canada, is looking to hire a Senior PCO for their team with a contract of 12 months which is renewable. This role requires 1-2 days a week in the office for their Toronto location.
The Senior PCO will support 1-2 Senior Business Project Managers handling Cyber Security-related projects ranging from $8-20 million. Responsibilities include financial tracking, managing estimates, preparing presentations, and collaborating with technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist PMs & Scrum Masters in project planning, scheduling, and tracking using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Financial Management: Track and reconcile budgets, analyze variances, and manage project financials.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain SharePoint records, manage status reports, and prepare executive-level presentations.
  • Meeting Support: Take minutes, log action items, and ensure timely follow-ups for key meetings.
Must Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of previous PCO experience (preferably with managing different projects)
  • Strong experience with managing project financials
  • General understanding of accounting practices
  • Experience with Agile and SharePoint
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Word, PowerPoint

Nice to Have:
  • Banking experience or large enterprise experience
  • Any PM certifications

Soft Skills:
  • Very organized
  • Able to meet strict timelines
  • Great communication skills.
