BrainStation is a global leader in digital skills training and development, offering a 12-week bootcamp program in User Experience Design. BrainStation is currently hiring a UX professional to teach our program through online and in-person formats. BrainStation Educators have the opportunity to teach, research, and develop their skills in a dynamic, project-based environment.

Responsibilities

1. Teach our 12-week User Experience Design Diploma program.
2. Help build a world-class technical team passionate about designing and teaching.
3. Deliver lectures and provide expert guidance to students working on innovative projects using cutting-edge technologies.
4. Facilitate in-class activities, group discussions, demos, and mentor emerging talent.
5. Co-create curriculum that impacts students' careers across campuses.
6. Research and develop new content to teach current design skills.
7. Apply BrainStation’s “Agile Education” methodologies to improve the program.
8. Enhance your skills and collaborate with other Educators to build effective educational tools.
9. Help define the future of educational experiences.

Requirements

1. 3-5+ years experience as a User Experience Designer and a relevant certification or post-secondary degree, or 8+ years work experience in the field.
2. Experience leading technical teams.
3. Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and InVision.
4. Deep understanding of design thinking and organizational frameworks for designing usable software.
5. Experience teaching and mentoring large groups.
6. Empathetic, inclusive, enthusiastic personality that enjoys facilitating learning.
7. Strong work ethic, integrity, and a desire to succeed.
8. Passion for teaching and creating positive learning experiences.
