Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic invites applications for an Instructor, Educational Assistant – PERS 103: Basic Care Skills, at the Saskatoon Campus on a casual basis for 2026-2027. The role focuses on delivering instruction and supervising students within the Educational Assistant program.

Qualified candidates will hold a nursing degree or diploma and active registration with CRNS/CRPNS, plus relevant experience in personal/home/continuing care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, or a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing.
• Active registration in good standing with CRNS or CRPNS.
• Two years recent/relevant work experience including personal care, home care or continuing care.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Effective instructional ability.
• Experience using the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to function as a team member in a changing environment.
• Demonstrates valuing diversity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to students in the Educational Assistant program.
• Supervise, evaluate and advise students in the Educational Assistant Program.
• Work as a team member with the Educational Assistant Program Head and other base instructors.
