As an Educational Campus Security Guard, there is a high focus on desk duties, scheduled patrolling, and exceptional customer service since you will be working with people all shift in an educational campus environment.

Responsibilities for Educational Campus Security Guard

• Customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
• Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property
• Deter criminal activity through visible deterrence and adherence to security procedures
• Conduct daily reports and incident reports and send them via email
• Monitor all entrants to the facility
• Ask for photo ID for all visitors
• Monitor inside and outside of the facility by camera and patrols, giving directions to visitors
• Perform environmental checks – water leaks, excessive airflow, unusual noises, etc. Contact maintenance for any lighting, heating, and other problems
• Contact departments for any visitors going to various offices
• Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches
• Monitor access of entryways and exit points
• Point of contact with authorities and emergency services
• Check all doors and ensure they are closed and secure

Qualifications for Educational Campus Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification is an asset
• Proficient in basic phone and computer skills
• Good with technology
• Friendly attitude
• Be able to work morning shifts
• Be able to extend shifts or come at different times as per client request
• Have a clear criminal background
• Russian or Hebrew language skills would be an asset
• Be eligible to work in Canada
