Job summary

A tutoring consultancy is seeking an Independent Contractor for conducting online consultations with students. You will manage the sales process and provide tailored recommendations based on individual needs. Ideal candidates will have a degree and at least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in education. This remote position offers flexible hours and commission-based pay for leads and sales.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Book, plan, and conduct online consultations with students and families to enroll them with School is Easy.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to consultation and enrollment.
  • Assess students' learning styles, abilities, personalities, needs, interests, and hobbies to provide tailored recommendations.
  • Generate referrals during consultations and follow up to secure new appointments.
  • Provide consultation reports to the SIE Director, including content summaries, recommendations, and outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the USA education sector and private tuition market to confidently discuss options with families.
  • Be available during daytime, evenings, and weekends via phone, text, or email to respond promptly to leads and accommodate client schedules.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
  • Ideally hold a degree or higher education qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a sales role, preferably consultative sales.
  • Experience in the education sector is preferred.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, understanding client needs, objection handling, and establishing trust as a trusted advisor.
  • Good understanding of the USA education landscape and private tutoring market, with the ability to explain how private tuition complements mainstream education.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to schedule appointments and report outcomes effectively.
Compensation
  • $5 per lead follow-up
  • $45 for each closed sale (pay-as-you-go)
  • $65 for 30-hour packages
  • $75 for 40-hour packages

Leads are more frequent at the beginning of the school year and decrease towards the end. Compensation is based on lead follow-ups and sales commissions.

This role requires flexibility to respond to unpredictable lead arrivals. It is not a full-time position but is suitable for supplementing income.

This is a remote position.
