We are seeking a permanent, full-time Educational Facilitator to join our team to assist our students with educational support within the University of Alberta community. Previous experience working with adults with disabilities is an asset--but attitude, reliability, drive, and a passion for inclusion are paramount!

We believe that we can all rise when given the opportunity to do so; that everyone has untapped potential waiting to be discovered, and that inclusion is always a possibility when we can think outside of the box. We focus on abilities and utilize our creativity in modifying coursework and assignments to suit our students’ specific needs. We advocate and network on behalf of our students to uncover opportunities and connections, and are proud to be at the helm of social change as we help shift the perceptions and attitudes towards those with disabilities.

Monday – Friday, approx...8:30am - 4:00pm
$38,000 - $45,000 annually
Requirements:
Criminal Record Check and First Aid training

We are a non-profit organization supporting adults with developmental disabilities to attain full inclusion at the University of Alberta. We achieve this by liaising with instructors and classmates to ensure that maximum participation and inclusion is taking place; through identifying opportunities for advocacy; and by utilizing our creativity when modifying coursework. We are constantly mining for potential—within the individuals that we support and their various roles within the university community and society at large.
