Temporary Part Time; Thursday and Friday (with some flexibility) approximately 12 hrs / week

The Newell Colony School, located in Bassano, is seeking applications for a part-time Educational Assistant to work with students, preparing them for the grades ahead. This position requires an applicant who works well under pressure and in energetic environments while upholding the values of the division. This role requires pertinence, kindness, and resiliency, and an understanding of the importance of this role for our students, colleagues, and community.

Job Duties :

• Support students in instruction as well as social and behavioral needs.
• Encourage positive interactions between students and staff.
• Work closely and collaboratively with school staff including, but not limited to, classroom teachers and administration.
• Position may include activities such as lifting, transferring, and providing personal care, as necessary.
• Position may have involvement in student school activities such as swimming or outdoor sports and may require the EA to participate with students.
