Permanent Full-Time (1.0 FTE – 30 hours per week)

Qualifications:

  • Educational Assistant certification or early childhood training (asset)
  • Ability and experience in working with children
  • Physical ability to work with active students
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and ability to work in a team
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
  • Knowledge of Braille or willingness to attend training

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Willingness to meet health and hygiene needs of children as required;
  • Work one-on-one with students and within a classroom setting;
  • Assist students in speech, motor, language development, and social/life skills based on individual needs;
  • Collaborate with a team to develop and implement Individual Improvement Plans.
