Qualifications:

  • Educational Assistant certification or early childhood training is an asset;
  • Ability and experience in working with children;
  • Physical ability to work with active students;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and ability to work in a team environment;
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion.

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required;
  • Work one-on-one with students and within a classroom setting;
  • Based on individual needs, provide assistance in speech, motor, language development, and social and life skills;
  • Work as part of a team in developing and implementing Individual Improvement Plans.
