Job summary

The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) invites applications for a temporary full-time Educational Assistant at Centre Wellington District High School. This 1.0 FTE role pays $30.92 to $36.74 per hour, effective September 1, 2025, with 10-month calendar and entitlement to vacation pay under ESA.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Diploma or related education and work experience deemed equivalent by the Board
• Post-secondary degree in a related field
• Behaviour Management Systems certification required
• Experience with students with special needs and behavioural disabilities preferred
• Ability to perform essential physical duties (lifting/positioning/transferring) and access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Assist students with diverse needs including behavioural, safety, medical and physical support
• Perform duties such as lifting, positioning and transferring children and equipment as required
• Support students individually or in groups and collaborate with classroom teachers and parents
• Maintain flexibility, patience and empathy while working with students with complex needs and Administration
• Perform other duties as assigned
