Job summary

Wolfcreek is seeking a full-time Educational Assistant to support students with diverse needs in a school setting in Alberta. The role involves inclusionary assistance, helping teach academic, social and life skills, and supporting programming with assistive technology.

The successful candidate will work in a team, adapt to flexible duties, supervise transitions and meals, and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.

Job description

Assignment:

• Full-time 1.0 FTE Educational Assistant position
• Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
• To provide inclusionary assistance for students with diverse needs

Qualifications and/or Assets:

• Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant of students with complex needs, varying abilities and skills
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Assist with the development of academic, social and life skills
• Experience with academic and behavioral programming, assistive technology, and/or medical needs
• Ability to take direction from a variety of professionals
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Ability to accept flexibility in assigned duties, and supervise students during transitions, lunch and at work experience placements
• Experience with the Collaborative response Model would be considered an asset
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
