Location: Calgary Christian Elementary School

Anticipated Start Date: August 25, 2025

Anticipated End Date: June 26, 2026

Assignment: Educational Assistant

FTE/Annual Hours: 560 Annual hours (14.5 hours/week)

Located in Calgary and supporting Kindergarten to Grade 6 students, Calgary Christian Elementary School seeks enthusiastic individuals for the Temporary Part-Time Educational Assistant position starting August 25, 2025. Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized post-secondary or vocational certificate in child care/development or behaviour management, with practicum experience working with students with special needs
• Equivalent combinations of related education and experience may be considered
• Experience in an inclusive learning environment is an asset
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates (Child CPR is a strong asset)

Responsibilities

• Provide educational instruction and support students in accessing technology
• Contribute to planning the student’s Individual Program Plan (IPP), participate in team meetings, and support student growth data collection
• Maintain professional relationships within the student’s learning team, offering suggestions to help students reach their goals
• Communicate with parents and team members regarding student progress
• Support student self-esteem and independence through tailored programs and techniques
• Encourage positive interactions among students
• Provide personal care as needed, including toileting, feeding, dressing, and physical support, ensuring dignity and safety
• Ensure student safety in school and community, supervising and assisting as required, including managing challenging behaviors
• Maintain confidentiality and a supportive attitude towards students
• Work in various settings, including supervision during breaks and field trips
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing educational tools and classroom cleanup
• Perform other related duties as needed

• A commitment to Christian education, including a Statement of Personal Christian Faith and a pastoral reference letter
