Job Description
  • Provides support in a classroom where there is a child with specific needs to be met (intellectual disabilities, physical or medical conditions, deaf/hard of hearing, blind/low vision, self-regulation concerns, and other special education needs).
  • Supports the student’s academic development.
  • Responds to the student’s physical, emotional and hygienic needs.
  • Acts as a team member of the school in any area which may directly assist the assigned student(s) or contribute to the educational program as a whole.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PICS, PECS, ABA, signing, Braille.
  • Special feeding techniques.
  • CPR/First Aid, CPI (NCI) and Diabetic Monitoring.
  • The ability to show initiative.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to establish a rapport with children.

Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Position Details

This is a 10-month permanent position with an annual salary range of approximately $47,358-$50,898 (as of September 1, 2025) with an anticipated start date of September 15, 2025.
