Job description

Zeeland Public Schools has an exciting opportunity for an Education Technology Services Assistant . The Educational Technology Services Assistant will be responsible for various functions supporting the technology department. They will assist the technology personnel with general communications / scheduling (web, phone, email, walk-ins), inventory, office duties, purchasing, student / staff login ID support, student billing management, printer / copier services / support, telephone services / support and warranty work processing. Works directly with students / staff to support the ZPS Student and Staff devices. Serve as the primary contact for device technical support via the ZPS Help Desk.

Responsibilities :

  • Assistance with apps, repairs, profiles, lost / stolen devices, inventory, billing, purchasing, etc.
  • Maintain inventory and software licensing.
  • Complete billing to parents / students via E-Funds for Schools and Infinite Campus for broken devices and follow up with funds collection process.
  • Complete general office organizational tasks.
  • Coordinate office operations and communicate effectively with stakeholders both in and out of the district.
  • Support staff / student / parent accounts along with related documents.
  • Obtain pricing information for software / hardware purchases, upgrades, replacement and disposal.
  • Purchase and inventory hardware and software.
  • Perform Help Desk duties to assist staff / students with technology problems and, when appropriate, direct them to the appropriate resource or person.
  • Welcome office visitors and support meeting preparations.
  • Assist with staff / student devices and coordinate device repair process.
  • Telephone services / support.
  • Create student accounts and manage student / staff passwords as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, support staff, teachers, and administrators.
  • Post-secondary education (degree preferred).
  • Expertise in using GSuite applications and Microsoft Office 2012 / 16 / 19 applications.
  • Accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, and inventory experience.
  • Able to prioritize work, work independently and cooperatively, pay attention to detail, organize and be organized. Able to develop and manage processes that encourage.
  • Positive attitude, self-directed, and able to learn new processes on a daily basis.
  • Ability to create reports and analyze data to support decision-making.

Schedule : 27.5 hours / week

Monday through Friday – 5.5 hours / day

Full Year

Compensation :

Level II – $14.41 – $16.87
