Reporting to the Manager, Education Team the successful candidate will be a key member of our Group Benefit and Retirement Solutions Team (GBRS) and will contribute to our overall National Service Strategy. The incumbent will work very closely with the regional office teams, Client Relationship Managers, Marketing, Implementation, and other departments within iA Financial Group.

The Education Specialist will be responsible for providing the GBRS plan members with a range of activities that create an engaging education experience, which is focused on helping members deepen their learning while providing them with the support they need to achieve their personal goals, improve their health, and well-being. The Education Specialist will need to be able to answer plan members questions, address any issues, while they are facilitating member education sessions for our existing and new clients. Also, as part of their role, the Education Specialist will also be asked to represent iA Financial Group during shortlist opportunities.

What you'll do:

Deliver / facilitate onsite, virtual education / training sessions for both Group Benefits and Group Retirement members

Develop and help implement education and communication strategies to our clients

Collaborate with colleagues and internal stakeholders to design and implement learning solutions

Teach plan members how to take advantage of the tools and services available to them

Solid written and oral communication skills

Superior presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage audiences

Participate and be a contributing team member in the development of new education features, tools, and service

Participate in finalist presentations

Facilitate education sessions for both Group Benefits and Group Retirement plan members. Training will be made available, if needed

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate would have a strong background knowledge of Group Retirement and Savings products with a minimum of 2 years of working experience

Candidate would have knowledge of Capital accumulation plans, Defined Benefit plans, and different investment vehicles available to group plan members as well as Group Benefits (Group Insurance)

Ability to work under pressure

Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment

Experience with designing, developing and/or has participated in creating communication material using multiple delivery methods

Instructor led experience and audio and video experience is a plus

Excellent customer service, communication, planning and presentation skills

Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint

Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) will be required - may be done after hiring

University degree (BA) or College Diploma

Periodic travel required in Quebec and occasionally within Canada

Access to a personal vehicle

Advanced knowledge of the English language, as the person will be required to communicate orally and in writing with unilingual English internal and external partners across Canada on a daily basis via e-mail, virtual meetings and the production of English-only content.
