Job summary

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is the largest Centre for Education in Atlantic Canada, serving more than 60,000 students in 136 schools. The HR Manager, Human Resource Services, works with School Administrators and Supervisory Staff to deliver a broad range of HR services, including staffing, contract interpretation, return-to-work support and investigations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a human resources discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum five years experience in HR providing a broad range of services.
• Working knowledge of employment legislation (Nova Scotia Labour Standards Code, Human Rights Act).
• CPHR designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR services for School Administrators and Supervisory Staff.
• Support staffing, contract interpretation, return-to-work/accommodation, performance management, investigations and discipline.
