Qualifications

• Grade twelve education completed.
• Six college/university courses related to learning/behavioral issues.
• One year experience with children/youth with exceptional needs.
• May require BC driver's license.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate in the school language of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assist small groups/individual students with activities per education plan.
• Monitor and assist students during recess, lunch, and transitions.
• Prepare instructional materials and take notes as needed.
• Attend conferences with parents and staff and record observations.
• Administer medications as directed and ensure safety regulations.
