Overview

CRCS is a vibrant faith-based school nestled in the city of Campbell River on Vancouver Island. We are accepting applications for a full-time Education Assistant for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities

The ideal EA’s skills and duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Permission to legally work in schools in British Columbia, Canada
  • Possesses a clear Criminal Record Check authorized by the Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General
  • Possesses an Educational Assistant Certificate or is in the process of obtaining one
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of Christian education
  • Demonstrates a strong personal commitment to the Christian faith and the Statements of Faith as outlined in the school’s faith statements as well as the statements of faith as outlined by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
  • Possesses strong communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with the classroom teacher(s)
  • Adaptable, flexible, with a "can-do" attitude
  • Able to work with students with academic and/or physical and/or behavioural challenges
  • Able to implement tasks and oversee instructional practices programmed by the designated teacher(s)
  • Prepared to supporting student(s) and regularly communicate with the classroom teacher(s) and Inclusive Education Lead (IEL)
  • Willing to pray regularly for students and families and participate in staff prayer meetings
  • Able to reinforce/follow up on assignments with the student(s)
  • Able to keep accurate student records
  • Able to attend Staff, Inclusive Education, or Parent meetings as required
  • Willing to undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the IEL or School Administration
