Job summary

Alberta Energy Regulator is seeking an Analyst, End User Services & Service Desk Support to join the Edmonton Regional Office. You will provide in-person deskside support, image and configure devices, assist with meeting rooms and VIP support, and help cover the service desk to ensure consistent help across channels.

Minimum 3–5 years in deskside or service desk, diploma in IT or related field, and experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, and ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of deskside/Service Desk experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, and common end-user hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person deskside support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Image, deploy, configure, and refresh end-user devices.
• Set up meeting rooms and AV equipment, including Teams Rooms.
• Assist Service Desk by handling tickets and triaging requests.
• Escalate complex issues with clear documentation and follow-up.
• Maintain asset inventory and hardware lifecycle records.
• Assist with account access requests and password resets.
• Create knowledge articles and guides; share tips with users.
