Job Summary

The Analytics Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring that reports and dashboards meet pre-determined standards and are certified and published efficiently. The Report Publisher works with enterprise PowerBI administrator and other stakeholders to make approved reports and dashboards available in production, and to remove reports and dashboards that no longer meet guidelines; liaise with BI Developers and BI Analysts to review developed dashboards and reports and resolve corrective actions required prior to publishing.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

This role manages approval and promotion of reports and dashboards:

  1. Conduct reviews of reports and dashboards to verify that they meet pre-determined standards.
  2. Define the process, standards and guidelines for certifying and publishing reports and dashboards; champion and communicate process, standards, and guidelines with the McKesson Canada D&A community.
  3. Provide final approval of new reports and dashboards.
  4. Monitor and track the publishing of reports and dashboards.
  5. Work with BI Developers and other stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues prior to publishing reports and dashboards.
  6. Develop and distribute communications around the status of publishing (e.g., approval, or corrective steps required).
  7. Manage and prioritize backlog of reports and dashboards to be published.
  8. Reference existing documentation (e.g., business glossaries, data dictionaries) to review reports and dashboards.
  9. Identify ways to improve or automate the publishing process to improve quality and accessibility of reports and dashboards.
Section B – General Responsibilities
  • Provide professional internal/external presentations.
  • Acts as the company’s primary resource in his/her area of expertise, providing leadership and direction on all related issues.
  • Promotes cooperation within own team as well as between groups and with other departments.
Section C – Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in data related field of study or 4+ years experience in data analytics intensive role.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a data analytics function with core daily responsibilities in with databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access, etc.
  • Strong Knowledge of data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Experience in a Power BI administrator position, either as a User admin or Power Platform admin.
  • Highly analytical with ability to extract and analyze large amounts of data and draw actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to collect data from multiple sources including web, product, and customer databases to create combined views.
  • Ability to quickly identify and rectify operational and process issues.
  • Ability to understand data relationships, provide insights and deliver results.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience providing data analysis and reporting through dashboards or reports for ongoing or ad hoc requests.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience contributing to data governance and data publishing standards.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience identifying and interpreting data, using statistical techniques to provide metrics base conclusions providing insight and recommendations for planning.

Note: The holder of this position will support internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or the United States on a daily basis. Therefore, this position requires proficiency in English, both written and oral.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$66,400 - $110,600
