About the Opportunity

Outlier is seeking talented writers proficient in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.

This gig-based, reading and writing-focused opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to work when it suits you best.

You Can Contribute Your Expertise By

• Reading English texts to classify a series of responses produced by an AI model.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of texts generated by AI models.

Desired Expertise Examples

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled or holding a college degree or higher in a field related to writing from an accredited institution.
• An excellent sense of writing style, exceptional English spelling and grammar, as well as logical and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given text.

Compensation

Currently, base project rates for English writing experts are approximately:

• US: $15 USD per hour on average.
• Canada: up to $20 CAD per hour.

Rates vary based on expertise, skill assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to holders of a doctorate. For non-essential tasks, such as initial onboarding or additional work phases, lower rates may apply. Some projects offer bonuses. Please review the payment conditions for each project.
