The role involves providing functional support for Oracle Fusion ERP applications, leading discussions with business users, and implementing DevOps practices. What you will do
Johnson Controls is seeking an Oracle DevOps Fusion Project To Close (PTC) Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team based in Toronto, ON. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle Project Management end-to-end processes, including forecasting, costing, billing, revenue recognition, and project period close processes, with a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies.
You will lead cross-functional discussions at various levels with business users to analyze requirements, brainstorm, articulate solutions, and recommend industry best practices to stakeholders.
The Oracle DevOps organization supports multiple Oracle Fusion instances within JCI. Oracle DevOps Fusion PTC Leads will be the single point of contact (SPOC) for this functional value stream for all development and support activities.
How you will do it
Provide functional support for Canada Security Oracle Fusion ERP Application within PPM Module (Project Portfolio Management), Inventory, Costing, Purchasing, etc.
Support other Oracle Fusion ERP systems within the global Oracle DevOps Fusion PTC Value Stream.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
Implement DevOps practices to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime as part of post-go-live operational support.
Stay updated with the latest Fusion technologies and DevOps tools to drive continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Manage deliverable timelines and stakeholder expectations effectively.
Conduct system configurations, testing, and user training as needed.
Manage functional/technical team within the value stream.
Support multiple Oracle Fusion instances within JCI, acting as the SPOC for all development and support activities related to this track.
Analyze Oracle Fusion enhancements/change requests and support activities pipeline.
Plan work and prioritize backlogs within the value stream, reviewing with BPOs, GPOs, Delivery Leads, and Solution Architects.
Plan capacity of resources based on approved backlogs to meet deliverable timelines.
Coordinate with other value stream leads within Fusion DevOps, addressing integration issues between PTC and other areas.
Schedule, review, and approve production deployments with global deployment/release leaders.
Optimize and manage backlog of enhancements and support tickets, aiming for continuous improvement and automation.
Share KPI-based reports at the value stream level with global and regional DevOps leaders.
What you will need
Proven experience in PPM within Oracle Fusion ERP.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
15+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion and Oracle EBS ERPs.
Expertise in Oracle Fusion functional configuration, especially within PTC processes.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP.
Excellent communication skills with technical and business audiences.
Strong collaboration, teamwork, influence, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively under pressure.
Security Clearance: Mandatory Canada Government Security Clearance for Reliability/Secret (Level II).
Preferred
Oracle Cloud certifications.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of additional Oracle modules and bolt-on tools like IIM, PRW, and One View.
