Packaging Operator – Evening Shift

Salary: $32-34.50/hour
Night Shift Premium: $2/hour

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our production team. Your responsibilities include operating and maintaining packaging equipment, ensuring efficient and quality packaging, following safety and hygiene protocols, completing documentation accurately, and supporting smooth production operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work safely at all times.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and organization (5S) at your workstation and with equipment.
  • Operate multiple production lines as needed.
  • Follow procedures and work instructions precisely.
  • Complete all documentation accurately (packaging sheets, logs, forms, etc.).
  • Operate packaging lines with manual or automated equipment.
  • Use a computerized production management system (MES, such as POMS).
  • Participate in manual cleaning to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Work independently and notify supervisor of any issues or deviations.
  • Adhere to hygiene standards to prevent microbiological contamination.
  • Ensure product quality and support staff.
  • Record time on production steps and meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with support teams (Warehouse, QA, Validation, Safety, etc.).
  • Support cleaning of equipment and accessories in the washroom.
  • High school diploma.
  • Basic electronics and/or mechanical knowledge is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical environments.
  • Basic computer skills.
