What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager IT Risk supports the Capital Markets BCST team by managing technology currency, risk, and infrastructure for BCST - Operations IT, BPS, and Middle Office Systems.

They are responsible for ensuring system stability, resilience, and vulnerability management across applications by gathering, documenting, monitoring, and implementing requirements. The candidate will also seek to improve visibility and methodologies to enhance team operations.

What will you do?

  • Plan, execute, and deliver multiple risk-based components across BCST.
  • Identify and understand work needed for end-of-life, risk, or currency remediation for technical teams.
  • Support ongoing progress reports and communication with senior leadership.
  • Provide strategic oversight for remediation approaches and execution.
  • Collaborate with BCST leadership to identify key actions and simplify reporting for actionable insights.
  • Engage with teams managing remediation activities to ensure traceability to root causes.
  • Partner with first, second, and third line defense colleagues to ensure program completion.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Proven leadership and project management skills to align across functions.
  • Experience in compliance or risk management within a large US bank.
  • Deep understanding of risk frameworks, policies, and programs.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and communications.
  • Strong program and change management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Minimum 5 years of project delivery experience in technology, software, infrastructure, or risk.
  • Effective communication skills and executive presence; consulting experience preferred.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with reporting in Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience creating reports using Tableau or similar BI tools.
  • Knowledge of open-source risk and remediation tools.
  • Experience managing risk findings for technical teams.
