Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Manager, Design & Planning to finalize building designs, identify requirements, and define the scope of renovations for tendering.
- Develop and adhere to comprehensive budgets, recommending value-engineering proposals as needed.
- Support the development of AFE and business cases.
- Design in-house relays and upgrades for minor renovations; oversee design for large-scale projects.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, vendors, and internal teams (architects, design firms, engineers, store development & strategy, sales, marketing, IT) to develop designs that support company strategy.
- Maintain current store footprints, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and fostering product innovation.
- Understand and guide compliance with municipal, regional, and provincial building maintenance requirements (e.g., waste management, fire codes, safety).
- Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships to promote a productive environment.
- Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication to maximize project success.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-secondary degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of project-related experience.
- Extensive experience in planning, design, and execution with a proven track record.
- Effective leadership skills, including team motivation and budget management.
- Strong client management and relationship-building abilities.
- Affinity for luxury retail and a keen eye for quality and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
